Well, my kindergarten class hit a historic mark this week. We are tipping the scales at 24 kiddos!!! This is the biggest class I've ever had and I am already noticing a big difference. Here are just a few:
1. All of my tables are full, so I guess if we get anymore students it will be standing room only! ;)
2. Crafts take a lot longer.
3. The room is messier at the end of the day.
4. When I do something silly I feel like a comedian with my own audience laughing at me. :)
5. Bathroom breaks take longer too.
6. My line stretches across the whole primary hall especially after recess.
7. I have to talk louder.
8. There is almost always something funny happening or being said by a five/six year old.
9. Announcement time (share time)takes longer too.
10. I get more hugs :)
Really even though this is the largest class I've ever had, it's still a great class. Even though I'm tired at the end of the day, I've gotta say if a mama's gotta work, this is by far the best job!!

Two of a kind??
Lylah had another fun "play date" during spring break. On Friday, Lylah got to play with her friend Mikayla. I teach with Mikayla's mom and while the two of us have very similar personalities, our girls do not, that doesn't stop them from being friends though! It is so fun to watch them together. Lylah is a studier (yes, I may have just made up that word), she doesn't smile a lot and it some times takes her a while to warm up to a new situation, and since she can't move around much she just sits and studies. Mikayla is way different, she is social, she smiles at anyone, and she likes to explore. Still the girls have fun, I know that Lylah likes to study Mikayla and Mikayla likes to smile at Lylah (even if she doesn't smile back). Of course I enjoy hanging out with Beth, she is a friend from work without being just a "work friend", meaning we can have conversations that go from the girls, to family, to crafting, to whatever else, without even really talking about work!
Two cute moments of the afternoon: when the girls gave each other kisses and when we were having a little photo shoot and both girls eyed a motorcycle as it went all the way down the road!! Here are some pictures from our photo shoot...too fun!

Eight Months!
Lylah celebrated her eighth month birthday yesterday. Okay, we actually had a nice quiet day at our house with aunt Em and Bella, but even without celebration it was still a special day around our house!! All this growing up got me to thinking how much Lylah has changed in just one month!! She is eating lots of different pureed foods and she has even learned to like her oatmeal. Lylah is noticing a LOT more and actually warming up to people and situations a little faster too. Other milestones, she learned how to roll over both ways in the seventh month (yeah, maybe a little late on that , but what can I say the girl is layed back!). She also, much to my dismay, has learned how to take off hats :( She is even developing a sense of humor, meaning she definitely knows when Daddy and Mama are "being funny". Oh, and she's cutting her first tooth!! Who knows what the eighth month will bring, but I think she is hoping it brings some more movement because she is starting to notice things that she wants in the room, but that she can't get to. No matter what it brings I'm sure it will bring smiles to her mama and daddy. Anyway, here's a look back to that first month when she couldn't do much except sleep, eat, and cry.

Best Buddies
Lylah studies everyone which is why not very many people get to see her smile esp. right away, but every time she gets together with her best buddy Hunter she smiles at him almost immediately. These two have been friends for a long time!! In fact they even had a long distance friendship when Lylah was first born. She sure does enjoy getting to see him and their mommies have a lot of fun too!!! It will be fun to watch them grow up together and become even better buddies!
Even from first sight Lylah and Hunter have been buddies!
Big hugs at the super bowl party!
Getting ready for nursery on Easter Sunday.
Picnic fun. Lylah says she can't wait for our next "date" with Hunter! Neither can mommy!

Easter Blessings
We had a wonderful Easter Day!! Our day began by celebrating the risen Savior with our church family. After that we had breakfast. We ended up at Denny's and I had quite possibly the yummiest breakfast treat ever....pancake puppies. If you have a chance to try them, I don't think you'll regret it :)
We had yet another photo shoot in our SG flower field. Lylah was getting really sleepy by this point so we didn't get lots of smiles, but she looks just as cute when she makes her "boo-boo lip face" anyway. We all took a little Sunday nap (can't remember the last time I got to do that), then we enjoyed a nice hike at Mammoth Cave. We snagged a great deal on our baby hiking pack thanks to Craigs List and my mom picking it up (it was in IN). Anyway, Lylah loved it. She is such a nature girl, I really hope that sticks. She just listened to every sound. She esp. liked the spring and of course the dogs we met on the trail.
Here are some pics from the weekend. Enjoy!!
